Setting up

About fifteen minutes, and you need an administrator for one step. At the end of it you have one agent running against your real directory, with a budget and an approver behind it.

  1. Step 1

Sign in with your work account

Use Microsoft or Google. Colleagues can be invited, or, once you switch it on in settings, anyone on your email domain can join without an invitation.

  2. Step 2

    Connect your directory

This is the one step that needs an administrator: a Global Administrator for Microsoft 365, or a super administrator for Google Workspace. If that is not you, the connect screen gives you a link to send them. You can also skip this and add people by hand, one at a time, until the directory is connected.

  3. Step 3

Choose what people can ask for

We suggest your largest groups. Keep three to five to begin with and say who approves each. In the beta every request goes to a person; clearing low-risk requests without one is not switched on yet.

  4. Step 4

    Send yourself a test request

Ask for something, approve it, and watch the change appear in your directory. This is the whole loop, and it takes about a minute.

If Google shows an “unverified app” warning

You will see this while our verification review with Google is in progress. Choose Advanced, then continue. The warning is about the review being incomplete, not about anything having gone wrong. It will disappear once the review finishes.
